No father no mother
Destiny’s orphan
Suckled by rodents

Eyes over shoulder
No wiser no older
Hunger remind me
Must look behind me

Gazing upon the stars
Wondering what they are
Hanging so high

White coats so friendly
Sheltered and kept me
Left me their leavings
Walks every evening

Tickle my tummy

Children and laughter
